1. University of Abuja, Gwagwalada
The University of Abuja is the only federal university in Nigeria’s heart and capital city. The institution was established in 1988 as a dual-mode university with three colleges namely: College of Arts and Education; College of Law, Management and Social Sciences; and College of Science and Agriculture.
At its inception, the university had a population of fewer than 500 students. But today, the University of Abuja boasts nine faculties, a College of Health Sciences, a School of Remedial Studies, a Centre for Distance Learning, an Institute of Education, a School of Postgraduate Studies, and over fifty thousand students!

2. African University of Science & Technology
The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) is a private, pan-African, co-educational, research university located in Abuja, Nigeria. The mission of AUST is to advance knowledge through applied research and offering structured instruction with a focus on science, engineering, technology, and even applications to policy.
