Universities Offering Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Courses in Nigeria

Because the National Universities Commission (NUC) has published the list of universities accredited to operate Distance Learning Centres in Nigeria.

It’s also important for you to know that Open and Distance Learning (ODL) means that students should not be required to attend classes, or have face-to-face contact, unless there are compelling reasons to justify it. Such as Examinations, periodic facilitation and practicum.

To clarify, about 28 Universities in Nigeria have been approved by the National University Commission (NUC) for distance learning. As a result, top and outstanding universities like UNILAG, ABU Zaria, UNN Nsukka and other good institutions were listed among the approved institutions. In addition, five Open Universities like NOUN and other institutions were also accredited and approved for distance learning. Simply go through the list and choose your most preferred University.
