What are Federal Universities

Federal Universities are Tertiary Education institutions that are run and managed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. To clarify, there are 49 federal universities in Nigeria, and these schools are not as expensive as Private Universities as they are funded by the Federal Government. Furthermore, Federal Institutions are larger than Private and State universities in terms of Space and student population. They also offer Diploma and More Bachelor Degree courses than Most Private and State Universities. Some Federal Universities are specialized in Agriculture, Science and Technology.

As earlier mentioned Federal Universities have large student bodies. As a result, students from different parts of the country with different backgrounds and religious beliefs are enrolled. Which means, students are likely to learn the lifestyle, behavior and values of different people.
