JAMB Change of Course, Change of Institution, and Data Correction Procedure 2024/2025

NB: Changes for Course/Institution, Names, Date of Birth, Gender, State/LGA of Origin, etc., cost N2,500 (two thousand five hundred naira only).

Meanwhile, to make either of these corrections or change your course or institution, follow the procedure:

  1. Firstly, go to JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ – HERE.
  2. Secondly, log in with your Email and Password.
  3. Thirdly, Select ‘Registration (2024 only)’ from the list of services on the left side.
  4. Also, from the drop-down, select ‘2024 UTME Data Correction‘ / ‘2024 DE Data Correction‘ as your case may be.
  5. Lastly, proceed with payment.

After payment, visit the closest Joint Admission and Matriculation Board office, or an accredited center to complete the correction process.

Correction of Data Procedure for Candidates who have lost their SIM cards

This procedure is made for candidates that have lost their phones/sim cards. And as a result, cannot receive their OTP (One Time Password). Which is normally sent to a candidate’s registered phone number in place of biometrics verification.

It’s no longer news, that each candidate must provide the OTP. Before he or she can proceed with the Change of Course or Institution, and Data Correction 2024. Because some candidates claim they no longer have access to their sim cards. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board management has provided another method for them. Which we have listed here.

Follow these Step by Step Guide

  1. Firstly, each candidate will have to go visit any of the JAMB Offices in person (not by proxy). As this service can only be carried out in JAMB Offices/Professional Test Centres (PTCs) Nationwide. (Those that don’t know where to locate the closest the office in their area. Should see the list of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board approved Offices HERE)
  2. Secondly, at the JAMB Office, the candidate should supply any of registration number, email, and GSM number that the candidate used to register for the UTME or DE;c. The Official attending to the candidate directs the system to RESEND the OTP through email;
  3. The candidate goes and prints a copy of the email which contains the OTP;
  4. Also, the candidate affixes a copy of his/her passport photograph to the printed email and presents it to the Official;
  5. The JAMB Official, after confirming that the same person whose picture is affixed to the printed email is the same person. Whose picture is displayed on the screen and proceeds to complete the correction of data?
  6. Further, a copy of the printed email with the candidate’s affixed passport must be retained at the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board office. For any candidate whose correction of data was carried out with OTP sent through email.
  7. All subsisting COVID-19 protocols must be fully observed.

NOTE: ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD CORRECTION OF DATA BE DONE BY PROXY.

Normally, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. Does not fix the start and the closing date for change, of course, change of Institution or data correction.
